1. Provincial Museum - Represents the central museum institution of the wider region and has been operating since 1882. In addition to the home location, the institution includes 10 dislocated units. Permanent exhibitions (archeology, cultural history, ethnology) are complemented by excellent temporary exhibitions. The exhibition Counts of Celje, The City Under the City with Stunning Roman Remains and the exhibition dedicated to the traveler Alma Karlin stand out. Among the important exhibits are the oldest bone needle in Europe and the Celje ceiling, a giant canvas with an optical illusion.
2. Museum of Recent History - The former town hall houses the Museum of Recent History, which, in addition to the permanent collection, which includes an exhibition about Celje and the dentistry collection, also hosts the only children's museum in the country, Herman's Lair. The heritage of the photographic master Pelikan also stands out, the story of the prison during the Second World War Stari pisker, and the good attendance is also due to the excellent visiting exhibitions
3. Art Quarter - Abandoned, once elite boutiques, the municipality has leased to some Celje artists. The result is a tiny art district, a place of small studios and big ideas. The district has a particularly lively pulse on Fridays and Saturdays, where visitors can get to know the creators of the MCC Hostel’s interior design.
4. Theater - The only professional theater in the region. The building with a luxurious entrance was built in place of the older theater and includes a defensive tower of the medieval walls. The theater is famous for its comedy festival "Days of Comedy" and excellent repertoire.
5. Gallery of Visual Arts (Art Salon) - This exhibition space, part of the Celje Center for Contemporary Art in Celje, is a kind of laboratory that presents advanced contemporary art practices.
6. Gallery of Contemporary Art - the central exhibition facility of the Center for Contemporary Art, which hosts solo and group exhibitions of renowned artists from Slovenia and abroad.
7. The Church of St. Daniel - Opatija and the parish church, whose first mentions date back to the 11th century, got its final shape with regotization in the 19th century. Inside and outside there are several integrated medieval and renaissance tombstones. The Chapel of the Sorrowful Mother of God is an excellent example of a private chapel reserved for the high nobility and still today almost intact, reminiscent of the glorious times of the Counts of Celje. In the chapel is one of the most beautiful plastic pieta from the High Gothic period.
8. Metropol Cinema - The only cinema in the city center is located in the Plečnik building and has been operating continuously since 1936, famous for its quality film program and the organization of thematic concerts of various musical genres.
